"Are you ready for some football?"

Actually... I'm not. I suffer through it all fall; do we really have to begin already in the spring? But ND football is a tradition, and the Blue/Gold game is about the only game a "normal" person (i.e. one without connections) can see.

So a couple weeks ago, we grabbed the kids and braved the traffic (which is still MUCH better than during a real ND game, I'd assume) and drove over to see our first-ever Blue/Gold game.

Hubby handed me the camera and told me to get some pictures of the game. (He can't take a decent photo!) We were way up at the top of the stadium, since this year's gorgeous weather led to a record game attendance. So I started snapping, playing with the camera's zoom features, getting closeups of various people:

the ND mascot...

the band on the other side of the stadium...

players...

cheerleaders - of course... lol...

visiting pro players who coached...

"touchdown Jesus"...

and decided that I needed to grab a pic of myself at the game.

So here I am, at my one and only ND football game.

(What'd you expect... a full self-pic of me? That's my hand, it counts!)

ND won, btw.

(for those who don't know, the Blue/Gold game is a team scrimmage... they play themselves.. lol)
