I try to hold on to you
cupping my hands so the drips don't all leak out
but you spill between my fingers.
I squeeze harder,
willing at least a few drops to remain.
I found the draft of this post while looking for an old post... I'm not sure when I wrote it. But I'm happy to have learned that even when all of the drops have spilled out, it's survivable.
